The company could see that this is an old request from users and then put this feature in Chief Architect. I know that the company has strived to meet the requests, such as ramps, different dimension styles. Old things are still bothered, as the toolbars that insist on leaving the place without permission. :Sly:
I hope that this feature is included in X4.
What do I do to solve this problem is to create a block that stretches only in the center (using the sizing tool in the dialog box Symbol Specification), insert it in the position I want and create entities slabs above and below it. To close the walls, use invisible wall.

True enough. This is requested over and over again here in the forums but hard to tell what X-4 will include - or if they make changes because of the requests here or suggestion forums.

Yes, they do make changes based on suggestions

    It sometimes takes awhile....

I made this one using a Molding PolyLine (3 Moldings) for the Top and Bottom Frame and Glass - plus 2 Primitive Solid Boxes for the Vertical Frame pieces.

Cutting out the hole in the corner of the wall is another trick, but it can be done.

Perhaps this will give Chief an idea of how to make a special window tool - actually, I wrote a mini-spec for "Window Walls" (a different thread some time ago) that might also provide this functionality.

Yes, we all know that Lew, but I'm not sure if igriao's point that the problem being posted many times here in the forum got the same attention as an official 'suggestion.' I simply don't know how the dev's treat simple (even multiple) posts here in the forum.

Always better to make an official 'suggestion' which is a good point.

    Larry:

CA has stated that while they MAY read threads they definitely read and log posts in the Suggestions section

Didn't the video mention that there are more features yet to be disclosed? Maybe corner glass windows and ridge caps will be announced later.

what about using pony wall and setting the upper wall to glass shower?

i havent the time right now to tweek it so everything is complete, but i reckon it wouldnt be very hard from this point using moulding polylines etc to achieve desire effect.

in my image below i have two options...pony wall lhs and entire wall set to glass shower on rhs

OK Guys, I already showed you how to create the window itself. Here's the trick to making the opening. Create your exterior walls and then break them where you want the window to be. Select those two sections and set the pony wall to the same wall type at window sill height. Now, in a 3D View select the upper wall section and pull the top down to the Sill Height. Next create a SolidBox as the part of the wall above the opening. You now have have an opening as shown below.

Now you can take the Window that I created in Post #6 and move it into position in the opening. It's just a matter of knowing how.

    Joe:

hopefully, CA can study your methods and then create some programming to do it auto-magically
