I did receive a notice that icy had posted something to this thread today.
I saw the poll about this has been added.
I checked my in box where I keep my notices and see that it appears I have been receiving them fairly regularly right along.
However there was one four day gap.....
I then checked my User CP file and saw I have seven pages of threads since I signed up, that I have posted to, or subscribed to. All seven pages have the receive notice box unchecked. I don't know if that is a normal thing or not.
I checked one page, the most current page, so that I should get some notices if anyone posts anything to that series of posts.
I'll let you know if anything changes.
But maybe you should check your User CP file and see if your settings have somehow been reset to not receive notices.....Jim Rogers

Ok, well I had my User CP file open in another tab as I'm using Firefox, and a just when back there to see what was up.
I was still on page seven and clicked to page one and all my boxes were unchecked again.
So I checked them again, and then clicked to page two, and back to page one.
They were all reset back to unchecked.
Somehow these are being reset.
Is this the problem?Jim Rogers

We have completed our investigation into this and have determined that we are sending messages. 99% of the messages are getting through without difficulty. The ones not getting through are being rejected outright by the recieving servers. In other words the message is not sent because the server will not accept that message.

Dan, when you say rejected by server, do you mean to say these are being filtered out by our ISPs?

A year or so ago, I had an identical problem with PayPal emails. I simply stopped getting email from one, and only one PayPal address. PayPal and my ISP both investigated and could find nothing wrong. The emails were leaving PayPal but not arriving at my ISP, although other customers of my small ISP were getting their PayPal emails. All spam filters were off.
Long story short: Investigation proved that PayPal could send me email as long as my email address was at a domain other than my ISP. Nobody could determine why. In the end, I set up my own domain and leased a server for various reasons, but in part to get reliable email from PayPal. Months later, the PayPal emails to my ISP provided email address magically resumed.
There's bad ju ju out there.

OK, based on Dan's post....I changed my email address to a different isp, and now I'm getting them again. I was going to try and change it back to my old one just to see what would happen, but chieftalk requires authintication of the email, so I was afraid that I wouldn't receive the email verification so I didn't try it....but changing the email worked, and I can live with that.

We have determined that emails are being rejected by certain servers. We are still investigating this to determine the exact cause for this rejection.
