A few months ago, I experienced system crashes with Windows XP Pro and Chief 10.__ . I sent the crash report to Microsoft and the automated analyzer told me that it was a known issue with my video card driver and Windows and there was no resolution. It so happened that I had bought a new ATI video card Radeon 9600 series a few weeks earlier which I then installed and I have had no problems since.
