    Default Wall Height- Stem walls

I have a wall type for cabinet stem walls. Normally I just backclip the wall and edit the elevation by pulling it down to 40 1/2". Is there a way to create a wall type that will be 40 1/2" high when drawn?

Louis, I understand how to make the solid railing wall, but how do I save that as a walltype? Also, won't the newels show at the corners and ends?

I'm certain I'm missing some steps somewhere. May I withdraw the statement
I understand how to make the solid railing wall
, and start from there? Also, I definitely don't understand how to save a railing as a wall type. Maybe I'm just tired, but I'm feeling pretty dense right now.

Here is a railing wall used in a similar situation.

You can set your railing default height at 42" and when you draw the wall it is 42" tall.
