    delete a floor

a while back we desgned a 2 story home, top floor was main living, with a day light basement under.
Was asked to redraw as a 1 story, get rid of basement. no problem, I thought, I just went in and clicked and dleated the lower floor, pone wall at at time, but now when ever I open that plan it goes to the first floor, blank screen, and then I have to click up to the 2nd floor to see it
how can I make the 2nd floor the first floor

    thanks

There is a child button on the tool bar that will delete your foundation all in one click for you. You do not have to remove the walls one at a time. Since your home will still have a foundation, when you are on floor 1, click on the child button on the tool bar to recreate your foundation (make sure to set properties you want). Then on floor one you can check to see that all the room properties are the way you want them by right clicking on a room and opening it to verify how chief has built the model. I have never, that I can recall, had CA open up a file other than on the first floor. Hope this helps.
