molding profiles
I'm getting more requests for more exact molding and trim details lately. I know how to get a molding profile INTO The library, but I want to know how to get it OUT of the library so I can modify it and save the new profile in my library.
Is this even possible?

Cross section, trace over it.
Save your profiles as a cad detail in your library.

So I do have to take the extra step to put it on something, then trace over its cross section. Bummer.

A cad line. This is very quick.

You don't have to trace over it. Just section, and view to cad. You may have to reconnect some or all lines, which, come to think of it, is the same as tracing.

It would definately be nice to have a way to bring the profile out of the library to be edited. Perhaps if it was added to the cad blocks to be accessed in cad block management.
