When I send a cross section or elevation to layout the scaling comes up as 1m = 100m which is just the way I set it in page setup.

Whenever I send a vector full overview to layout, the scaling comes up as 1/4 in = 1 ft. The page setup dbx is grayed out so I have to change the scaling manually every time.

This prompted me to try and speed things up by highlighting the 1/4 then typing 1 TAB m TAB 100 TAB m ENTER

When I hit ENTER CA shuts down instantly....
I tried this many times and the only way to avoid a shut down is to select the unit of measurement from the dropdown list.

So question 1 is how do I change the default values in "send to layout" for vector views.

Question 2. Does anybody else have the shutdown problem if you type the unit of measurement rather than selecting it from the dropdown list.
