Controlling Roof Soffits and Fascias
I am designing a flat roof (1/2 in 12) house with deep trusses for insulation. The trusses pass through the south wall and form a 3-foot overhang with a 14" vertical depth at the projecting end. All other walls have parpets with no roof overhang.
1) How can I control the 36"wide soffits and ridge boards, etc. so they dont show up inside the house along all of the edges of the roof plane? Trying to set them to zero in the roof framing tab doesn't work as they jump back to 1 1/2".
2) I don't seem to be able to get a 14" wide fascia on the ends of the projecting trusses. The roof plane does project all the way to the end of the trusses.
Any ideas? A search didn't seem to help much.
Thanks.

Tim:
Thanks. When I finally figured out which as width and which was depth, it worked OK.
