Have you done an F12 (rebuild walls/floors/ceiling) ?

Yeah Lew, it seems it is an invisible wall creation, when they are removed the remnants are gone, only to return with the invisible walls.

I'm new at this. Have you tried zooming in and looking at that remnant from different angles? Could it be a part of a baseboard or a ceiling molding from the floor below? Is it possible that your wall bottoms are not at the same level as the floor and you are seeing something from the floor below or a part of an automatic foundataion?

Just another quick suggestion, try turning of mouldings and
see if they are the problem. We have had them do funny things before
