    Open Below breaking Ceiling Finish

    Hi,

I'm trying to create an open "atrium" as the hallway/landing which is two storeys, so on the second floor I've created a room around the space using railings and invisible walls (and one exterior wall) and set it to "Open Below". However, for some reason a gap is appearing between floors where the railings are. Opposite to this picture is a wall rather than a railing and this has joined fine!

I've tried all manner of checkboxing, all things have "Ceiling Finish", structure and ceiling enabled. What else could be causing this problem?! I'm using Chief X5, btw.

    Thanks in advance,

EDIT: Update: On a hunch, I changed the wall type of the railings to be Interior rather than Deck and suddenly it works. Maybe this is a bit of a hack! Is this deliberate behaviour of something I'm not understanding ?

Very good, that is the way it works.... this feature can be valuable.... I don't know if it is good or not, but it is what it is.
