Question What is the best way to create section details???

Is there a way of selecting an area of a cross section as a call out detail?
Or do I have to create multiple copies of the section and crop around the detail or create a fill over the area that I don't need?

In my attempts to learn more about creating details in Chief I found this thread that refers to some other threads, which judging by the names in the links could have some useful info. However, when I click them I'm getting an error message that I have haven't got the right privileges to access the page. Other links and search seems to work fine for me, are there different levels of membership?

You probably aren't logged in when clicking the links.
