Wall break very close to, but not at, wall tee
An interior 2x4 wall tees into an exterior wall. I wish to have a wall break in the exterior wall just a couple inches away from the center of that 2x4 wall, but the break snaps to the center.
How may I force Chief to do what I want?Gene Davis

Gene,
Change the wall on one side of the Break to 1" Stucco with 1/8" House Wrap. I know this isn't real but it will cause the break to occur at the face of the studs of the interior wall.
The key is that the exterior surface of the two walls are not the same thickness. The break will occur on the side of the thinner material layer.Joseph P. Carrick, Architect - AIA

Just for fun, I did another wall type. This time I used 2 layers of Stucco (1" & 1/8") with a NUL Line between them.
