    Revision cloud default layer

When placing a revision cloud in plan it defaults the the "cad, default" layer as opposed to my current cad layer in the annotation set I have active. Is there something I am missing?

    Thanks,

If you double-click the "cloud" tool, you'll get the cloud defaults, including layer. This is specific to the tool. I don't know of any way to get this hooked up automatically to the annotation sets.

there are a number of objects that go to the default cad layer

they should all be changed to go to their own layers

    Lew,

Read Richard's post. You can already change the defaults for revision clouds so that you can put them on any layer you want. What you can't do is have them go our your current default cad layer so you can use your annotation sets to control them.

    Kilgore:

Richard and I were posting at the same time

my comment about each object being placed on its separate layer still applies
for any objects where it is not being done

I would rather not invoke an annoset and then manually assign items to layers, which setting I will forget to change when I invoke my next annoset. If I'm clouding revisions, I'm placing clouds in different layers and that should be controlled by annosets. I hate having site plan clouds showing in floor plan. If CA wnat to have clouds be assigned to a CAD layer seperately from othe "general" CAD items , that;s fine, just let me control it in annosets.
