Frank:
have you tried CA's tech support ?
If call NOW you might get lucky and reach someone
they are open till 5 PM Pacific and are closed on weekends
you may be SOL until Monday
you could try finding an archived version of the plan that works ?

Your plan is corrupt and Chief can't read it. I have no idea how it got corrupted but there are a number of possibilities that include things such as hardware/system problems or saving your plan after you had a serious error occur.
You should find a backup of your plan that is not corrupt.
If you need more help, you will need to contact tech support on Monday.Dermot Dempsey

Your best bet for now is to look in your "C:\Users\your user name\Documents\Chief Architect Premier X5 Data\Archives", there you will find auto-saved copies of that plan that you may be able to use and move forward with.
Plan corruption, generally speaking is caused by poor PC maintenance practices, improper settings, wrong settings, settings in argument with other settings, loose ends that accumulate in a plan file like unnecessary wall breaks and roof plane breaks, walls out of plumb, improper use of the eye-dropper and material painter tools, these things can add up and the combination of them then causes what you have.
Like Dermot said, it could also be a virus, malware or a hardware problem, "Archives" is your best current option.
