invisible wall issue
I have a horizontal strip of drywall approx a foot bellow my ceiling (floating), where there is an invisible wall that separates between breakfast area and family room, all this breakfast area is only one storey height, in the line of the invisible wall there is a wall going up as the exterior wall of 2nd floor.
Any idea how to get rid of it?Best regards

If the ceiling height in the breakfast nook bumpout is the same as in the adjacent room, there is no need for the invisible wall. Delete the wall and your scene looks good.
You need to practice and study some videos to understand structure. It can be tricky at first, but you'll get it.Gene Davis

Gene, I understand about deleting the invisible wall, but then can I still define this room separately from the adjacent one?

I don't get a gap in the clg when I use an invisible wall to define separate rooms w/ the same ceiling hgt, or even different clg hgts. So I think it's something else.
Thanks, Jim

You need to take a look at your ceiling finish settings it has a 16 5/8 and you have checked no ceiling over this room and it has messed with some other defaults this is in breakfast room

Thank you, The think is that above the breakfast area there is a flat roof, and above the rest of the floor there is a 2nd floor.
the 16 5/8" is the 11 7/8" joist, and 3 1/2" for ventilation, sheet of plywood, and modified bitumen, and of course that I don't want any bump in the ceiling.Best regards
