X5 3D view is not showing Textures
Since I installed the X5 version it is not showing 3D view in textures. I realize this probably works better faster so I have not fussed about it. But Now I need to make a show and tel where I need to be able to show textures, ie the building has brick sides, so I need to see the brick. Where is the setting to bring this back?

3D vector views and elevation views use material patterns assigned them, while 3D camera views use textures. Look at your materials' patterns and textures.
A good example of this is the materials for one of the brands of manufactured stone claddings, which all have textures, but no patterns.
As in the view you show in your original post. No pattern, just color.

Also, open the layers specifications dialog box, and make sure the layer "Patterns, 3D" is checked to display.
Also, if you started the plan on one computer and opened it on another computer, then you program can't find the pattern because it's associated with a material jpeg saved on your other computer.Allen Brown

Look in the manufacture catalogs for Cultured stone, they have a pattern associated with them. If you don't see them download it from Chief.

X5 3D view is not showing textures
Okay guys, I checked the texture settings, I am using a brick called Mixed Brick that was in X4 Core library, that's where I created this drawing, its not in the X5 core library. But the link to the image/textured shows is it finding it in the X4 core library. So X5 is finding the texture in the X4 core library. When I make a 3D perspective overview the view is set to standard and it views only colors as in my original post. If I select show Final View is shows the correct Mixed Brick Texture including the correct siding... But as soon as I move/orbit the camera it defaults back to colors and loses the textures. This is a setting change in the new version, How do I correct the setting change?

3D...Camera View Options...Toggle Textures.
Or...there is an icon you can use in a tool bar.
I have at tool bar with the Standard and Vector view icons and the Toggle Textures and Toggle Patterns icons next to each other.
Or...Preferences...Render...Preview Options...Use Textures.Glenn

That fixed it Glenn. I had checked preferences before and I selected the show Textures for Final View but I didn't notice there was another setting for previews.. Ugg.
