Hit ESC to Cancel
When drawing final view with shadows I've never been able to cancel using this method. Even hitting escape many times, and believe me, with the kind of waiting I experience I really want to hit it, it doesn't work. Is it just my system, or does everyone have this issue?

All the time, I think one time I was so ticked off about the wait time, I dropped kicked my computer into the office adjacent to mine........ had to buy another computer the next day to replace the one I ruined. I don't get it, if we hit escape we want to cancel the operation............... the escape has not worked for me..............

Most of the times, it doesn't work for me, either. I suspect it's something about Windows rather than Chief.

Yes, it also worked in win7. I just did a clean install of win 8 so I got no junk in my trunk. Nice and clean, everything smooth a butter now.

Doesn't usually work for me either. And if and when it does work, there's other stuff that goes out of whack afterward.
