    Puzzled with RT

    I just must have something set wrong somewhere. Just experimenting with lights & Ray Trace trying to come up with the best settings Thank you to anyone that wants to take the time. How this ceiling ever got to this ??????

    It is your recessed can lights that is producing this effect. Turn them off and you will not notice this. Or you can offset them from ceiling 2" and it will clear up.

    I don't want them off set or off..... Why would I have to do that . Do you off set your cans ?

    Your ceiling material is set as EXTERIOR TRIM BOARDS. Go to your floor defaults, and delete that layer in the ceiling structure. However, that doesn't seem to fix it in that room. I can't figure out why that's happening, but if you draw another structure in the same plan with 4 new walls, and the new room does not get this.

    Found it, The cut off angle. anything under 180 degrees works with zero off set makes sence. It cleaned up the rt also. Thank you for your time
