adding cad block to fixture x4

If I take Chief's medium shwr. from the library and open it in symbol spec. dbx and ask it to generate it's own blockthe block in upside down to the fixture. Don't understand why but I'm sure there must be a reason. Anyway I'm trying to add my own cab block simular to the default block, but with text. I'm not having any luck when reversing or rotating the symbol in plan view. Maybe it can't be done wuth text applied

Not sure which block you want to use in this plan, but in the Open Symbol dbx, under the 2D Block tab, and then under the CAD block preview, there is a Rotation Angle. Have you tried that? Just rotating it in the plan view won't do anything.

Ooops. That wasn't it they act ok when doing what you suggest Bryce but when I add them to my library and bring them in the text acts different than it did before I added to the library do you get the same result? The text acts more like a symbol label once it's brought in from the library .

Can you zip and post a plan with just the one symbol in it with the CAD block the way you want it? Not sure how to replicate from what you are saying here. I rarely, if ever, use text in a CAD block.
