    x4 Layout resizing

In the older version of Chief That I was Using (9.5) i would print my plans on standard arch c paper. Then if I wanted to print on a smaller sheet I only had to change sheet size and press continue in the dialog box when the layout was opened, the entire layout would re-size to fit the sheet.

Currently I can re-size the paper, but I'm having trouble getting the layout to re-size properly. Any ideas? Scale doesn't matter when resizing.

The size of your layout sheet and print sheet can be changed when you go to "print" and then page set up.

But that said, why not keep the print on C size paper and make a pdf file. Then print the pdf at whatever your desktop or deskjet printer can handle as the output.

I often print drawings (pdf files) intended for D size sheets onto 11" x 17" paper. And as you pointed out...scale will be off but that's fine.

Thanks for answering. I've been away a bout a week working on a job.
It sounds like you know what I'm talking about, (D on 11" x 17").

To do this do I print the full size to pdf, then reprint the pdf to the desired size? It seems like an extra step from the old way.

    Yep. That's how it's done.

Printing to pdf first can have it's benefit in that you can save the copy in a project folder. Invariably I'll be working on something and then get a call from a contractor or client who has a question on another project. Having quick access is handy.
