Export from Illustrator to Chief?
Hi,
I've a couple of details I wish to add to my layouts that come from PDF files. Those are easily loaded and edited in Adobe Illustrator, but when I try to export to autocad/metafiles, the imported result in chief is pretty messed up.
Any tips?
Thank you

Convert the files to "jpg" or "png" files first using one of the many programs that convert files.

I was hoping to get the result in CAD form, not JPG (scales better). From doing a couple of tests, export to metafile gives me the best results, but the scale is wrong (imported result is stretched)

It's been a while since I have used illustrator, but from what I remember you can do what you are after, with the exception that the text and dimension fonts do not carry the fill style.
I believe that a vector format such as DWG or DXF is available in the File, Export portion of the menu.
Sorry for not being more helpful, I do not have Illustrator installed right now to be able to check out the details for you.
Good luck.Rod Cole
