    Gables And Eaves

I saw these 2 pictures on a local architectural designers webpage portfolio and i was wondering how he made 1 of the gables above the other other gable.

and on the other picture how he made the gable one pop out more and the other one behind it. i was also wondering how to make the gable ends or eaves, the fasicia boards have an over hang to them.

oh thats easy. scott hall delt with that only a few days ago. it just requires manipulation of the roof plane by using the break tool and a bit of fluffing around with attic walls etc. ill find the thread for you.

maybe scott has taken it down....he only leaves em up for a little bit. send scott a message directly and he will forward it too you im sure. essentially it is a matter of breaking the roof plane and adding an attic wall. my thoughts are that in some ways, excepting the break of the roof plane, it is similar to adding a dormer.
