X3 change of color???
Is it just me or does X3 in 3d appear to have different colors than X2? Im not talking about raytracing just regular 3d.
Example, I just made a box room with the default wall/floor coverings and they appear slightly different from X2. When I opened X2 and created the same box room with similar flooring even the generic chief colors used in both programs, on the same computer look a bit different.
Is it my perception or does the new rendering engine make colors a bit different?Chad Cardin

You can always use the eyedropper tool and compare the numbers.

Good idea Dean, I just meant overall the "coloring" of all the textures in the room including floor seem to look a bit deeper, like more depth, thus making the colors appear different. There wasnt any one color in particular just overall.
For me, comparing the generic colors of white in chief looked noticeably different. Just wondered if anyone has noticed any differences between x2 and X3?
Its not a bad thing, I just noticed it and thought I would see if anyone has had a similar experience.Chad Cardin

Everything seems darker in "X3", that would change the way the colors show.

Since CA is using its own rendering engine in X3, I would expect some slight difference in their color display. However I hadn't noticed any difference.

X3 uses the enhanced lighting render technique (introduced in X2) as the default. This technique is designed to be closer to the raytrace results.
