    Render/Vector View Problems

    When I use the various views it sometimes works and sometimes I get a black screen. I am using a Sony Vaio laptop with an integrated chip set and I am running Vista. Not sure if this is a hardware/software issue or a user error issue. Any help would be great.

    To solve this problem for now simply close the program,

    right click on the icon to launch Chief and choose Properties from the drop down menu.

    Next click on the compatibility tab.

    On this tab place a check mark in "disable visual themes" and "Disable desktop composition"

    Click apply and ok and test.

    This should solve the problem until Intel resolves the issue.

    Wow, thanks. That fixed it. All this time and I just needed to check two little boxes. Not sure if I should laugh or cry.

    Intel has confirmed this is a problem with the OpenGL drivers. We are still waiting for word on a fix.
