    I think I fixed the problem. The exterior wall on the second floor by the stairs was checked as a full gable wall and attic wall was not checked. Out of frustration I erased the wall and an attic wall was automatically regenerated. I installed the window, installed the short railing wall to make the stairwell and added a 3' doorway at the top of the stairs and everything looks great. I guess what this is telling me is that it should have been marked as an attic wall. What I did was build the second floor walls and then started the roof at the first floor. Anyway, whatever it was, it's fixed now. What doesn't make sense is that it opened okay on your end. Were you opening with a later version?
    Thanks for the help. I only lost a few hairs on top.
