    Furred Walls & Windows

I am currently drawing a basement remodel/finish in which I am the GC starting the week after Christmas. I have followed the protocol for double wall construction as described in Training Videos 161 & 245. As I randomly set the default, existing basement windows near their final resting spot, all is well. As I position one window in particular within 3 1/2" of an adjacent wall, the pass-through detail disappears from the interior furred wall in both 2D & 3D. Details:

    1. All foundation walls have 'Double Wall>Frame Through' checked.

    2. All furred walls have 'Double Wall>Furred Wall' checked.

    3. All interior and exterior windows casings have been suppressed, and casing widths set to 0" (.01) for good measure.

Attached are both conditions. When I nudge the window 1/16" to the right, or within 3 1/2" of the adjacent wall finish, the pass-through disappears. I'm stumped. TIA!

Go to your defaults, plan, ignore casings when resizing..
You were getting to close to the other wall for it to fit..
You have to move the window to wake it up..

That's more or less what Lew said..Easier with the plan to look at..
