    3D Framing view

When I generate a 3D Framing view in Chief, floors, ceilings and rafters render as stick framing, but the walls are solid like it's just showing the sheating. What am I missing to show the wall stick framing? Dan

    Dan,

Is it possible your main layer is set to face of sheathing instead of face of stud. Just a guess.

Where do set the main layer to face of sheathing instead of face of stud?

    Sharon,

Are you having the same problem as Dan? If so, you do not want the main layer defined as face of sheathing, but rather face of stud, which is the default setting.

The setting is a radio button next to layer # under wall type definitions. I know, it is not labeled as such. The main layer is shown wider as noted below the preview.

I changed the radio button under Layer # Thickness and nothing still shows. Chief is suppose to draw the wall studs automatically as long as you have it selected right. Would it matter that I had drawn the trusses and floor joist and selected to show framing after I had drawn my floor plan instead of having the defaults set from the beginning?

    Sharon,
Have you built the wall framing from the framing dbx?
    Just a thought.
