I posted this exact question alonnnnnnnnng time ago. I had a link to some filled symbols that I made once before. Would nice to see them filled as an option. But then again I wouldn't be able to take advantage of that seeing how I can't even afford the upgrade at the moment..... (

I agree ...callouts with fill are industry standard. I have asked for this in the past as well.

You would think this would be an easy fix....hopefully in a future X2 patch.

I find it surprising that callouts with fill has been left out of Chief for so long. Seems so simple but perhaps it's more difficult than we think? Or just somehow never gets to the top of the priority list.

To be honest I don't understand the decision to leave such a seemingly simple, and essential item off the X-2 list. But I don't understand most of the decisions that Chief management makes. They are busy running a software company and I'm busy trying to get my drawings complete and our paths don't always cross.
The purpose of Government is to control the common resources, not the common man.

Anyone care to post their fastest workaround for filling the triangles? It's crazy to have to do that, but it must be done.

Do it once. Make a block out of a section callout with a filled flag. Save it to the library. Insert in new plan as needed, explode and edit callout text to suit.

I have a system that works pretty well for me. It takes an extra step, but once you work that way..it just becomes part of production. My step.....

As I am design/drafting along, and I know I am going to detail an area, be it a wall section or building section or foundation condition, I place a "blank" from my library. This is a filled section marker I made up, blocked it, and placed in the library. I leave them blank until I am ready to number and page indentify.

When I am ready to detail, I create the callout with detail # and page, and place it over the blank. Now I have a filled callout. It is an extra step...like I said, but.....
