Post and Beam
I am designing a house with a front gable entry over a deck. I would like to have the gable wall over the deck to be post and beam construction. I have version 10.0 but I am not sure how to make it post and beam. Could anybody give me any tips on how to go about doing this??

I can't help it.
You mean like this?
But hey, I'll do more than just show you one that's done. Use a railing wall, and play around with the railing settings until you get the result you like.
At the railing tab for the porch wall, check the "specify railing" box, and click the radio buttons for "no rail" and "post to beam." Try everything else, too, so you see what each does.Gene Davis

Select your deck and uncheck ceilings for this room. Then do a front elevation view and draw cad lines to create polyline solids to create your beams and posts. Then select your roof plans over the deck and make the ceiling a material decking.
I think Allan Brown has a good video on this.Chris Brown

Pline solids are the greatest.
