    Hole in ploygon Solid

    Hi fellow Chiefers

Chief seems to do this to me all the time. I could manage to execute complex combinations to achieve a great result however a simple thing challanges me for hours.

I grasp the 'hole in ploygon solid" concepy but I can never get it to work. I create a polygon solid, then I want to add a hole in it. I create the hole click on the menu and check off "hole in polygon solid" . I go to the rendering and . Why is a hole not being created? It seems like it would be simple. I make the hole object smaller, the same size, and bigger than the polygon solid that needs the hole and still, no luck. I think I just need a step by step. The manual doesent say, and I cant find a link on this site to discribe. I can

    Hope someone can help!!!

Glad you got it sorted, you can delete the thread if you like.

If not, for those who might have the same problem-

Draw a closed polyline in plan or vector view.
    Click the Convert button.
Check Polyline Solid, set a thickness and material.

Go back to the original view you drew this in, draw the shape of your hole.
Click Convert, Polyline Solid, and Hole in Polyline solid.

    Verify in a 3D view.
