    I need a 17' Entry

I am sure I am missing something simple here,

I need a 17' entry, I went to the lower level (Basement)and gave it a 204" ceiling height but instead of raising my ceiling it lowered my floor.

I have a box like entry and want 17' just inside this box.

I need to put a door and windows 50" up from the basement floor, of course in cross view I can not move the door up, I need to somehow elemanate the "Floor" above the in this boxed entry so my door will move up.

    Thanks
    David

Sounds like a split entry. Make a room on the first foor for your entry and lower your floor.

    Louis,

I am playing with this a bit with some interesting results,

What I have in this case is a large stair case and landing at -41", I want an exterior door at the landing, If I add a basement after doing as you suggested, my basement floor is 96" below what I originally lowered my floor to.

This is a great help in the correct direction, I will continue to experiment,

    Thanks Again
    David
