Room Definitions being Linked
Hello,
I have a strange thing that I haven't seen before. If I select the Kitchen room definition, the Master Bath highlights also. If I turn off and then back on the "show room label" the Kitchen text shows between the 2 room (in the middle of the Dining Rm/Master Bdrm). Has anyone seen this and what can I do to correct this.
Thanks!Mark Marple

Allen, do you remember any threads for me to look at? I tried searching, but can't get anything to come up.

Yes! But wouldn't this be true because of when I select the kitchen, the bath highlights also. So in the material for the floor, it shows the same. How would I go about making it seperate, when if I select the kitchen the bath is also chosen?

Yes! I just tried deleting the wall at the stool area and it then made the whole bath and kitchen the same. Very weird!

Mark,
This is a wild guess in case you have not fixed the problem. The green wall looks like it could be a double wall. If it is and the connections are not complete it could be possible that the kitchen and bath are one room with the connection running between the two green walls.
I had a similar problem with double walls in V10 that drove me batty. All of my wall connections looked good but they actually leaked and I had two rooms joined as one on opposite sides of my basement. Hope this helps.

Mark, can you post the plan? Sounds like Bob is on to something, because those two rooms are connected by that double wall, and if the connection is broken somewhere, they will be the same room. Kinda like when you frame the inside of a basement, it makes a "room" all the way around the outside of the basement that is 1" wide, but a hundred feet long.Last edited by Allen Brown; 02-26-2008 at 04:33 AM.
