    Raytrace colors are different than render view?

    When i raytrace my fascia and windows are showing up a different color than my render view? What have i done wrong?

    Just a guess here, but possibly due to lighting and shadows ?

    Also, check you render versus raytrace settings for that material in the material spec dbx ?

    Are you talking totally different like blue to red, or just different shades? If just different shades, it's probably lighting and raytrace settings, like Lew said.

    If you post the render and raytrace views, we might be able to help more.

    David:

    There are multiple paths but I find the easiest to remember is to click on a wall, select the material tab and then select "exterior"
    this brings up a wall spec. dbx,
    then select plan material and then the material to be edited.

    Now check out the render and raytrace tabs

    be sure to click "advanced" on the render tab.
