polyline solid at arch above column

In elevation view I am trying to convert a polyline into a [COLOR="Red"]polyline sol[/COLOR]id. When I hit the [COLOR="red"]convert polyline icon[/COLOR], the only Choice I am given is for a [COLOR="red"]3d molding poly line[/COLOR]. I am trying to create an arch above two columns on a porch.

Shouldn't I be able to create the polyline solid.

first: open the polyline your trying to convert. It needs to be a closed polyline before you can convert it. Im guessing its not closed.

That is correct It say "area not closed" When I inspect closely, it appearrs to be closed. " no loose ends"

Why not use the polyline solid itself in the elevation instead of trying to convert a closed polyline?

Ditto Tommy's suggestion. Use the polyline solid tool, then just reshape as needed:
