File Corruption error
Hi,
Has anyone come across the file corruption error message in Chief Architect 10.8 A. It has been happening more frequently lately on the plans are my computer in the office. All backup files/ archived files also are corrupt. the message indicates that you may want to revert to a backup copy because data may be lost. Well I loose about half of my roof planes and text. The error seems to happen when working in CAD......PLEASE HELP

Kevin:
which version ?
Basically, this shouldn't be happening. Is it one plan or many ?
If it is one plan then ???
If it is many then you need to contact tech support again.

Hi Lew,
It has been happening on about 3 different plans with version 10.08A. We thought it was because of Vista. Reinstalled the system with XP. Then it kept happening on this one plan so we upgraded to 2 gigs of RAM and it happened again right before I left office today. Seems to happen when working w/ CAD lines on roof planes??? Its weird. Only happens to me out of 3 people in the office....??

Are you using a remote drive for Chief or it's files? Are you moving the files from one computer to another?

Actually yes,
The template plan that I start every plan is a file that is being used from 2 co-owners that are on their own network. I am not dialed into that network so they put the template plan that has all the text and things we need on a 2 gig flash drive. I open that file up and save it to my hard drive in program files under chief. Could this be screwing up my files???
thanks,
Kevin

It should work fine, you must be doing something wrong ?

What is the exact error you are getting? This is happening when opening the files, or when drawing the CAD?
