IN the wall DBX under the roof tab; frame with wall above.
There is also another way to do this that I find more reliable. In elevation view break the top edge of the wall and drag it up to form the gable. I like doing it this way because I can easily control what the gable end looks like.
I can bring it to just under the rafter or scisor truss.

Thanks Bill!
THe raising the wall worked. Didn't see the option under the roof tab. I'm using version 10. (most of the time, I have X1 also)Dennis Gavin CR, CKBR

Dennis,
In 10 what he meant was the combine with wall above checkbox.

Louis,
Thanks for the correction.
Dennis,
The combine with wall above option only appears when one of the options under the roof tab has been checked (full gable end, etc.); It would be nice if it were greyed out instead of not there entirely.
Again I like dragging the wall up because I can put it exactly where I want it.

Bill, Lewis,
The raising the gable works fine. I don't see any option for combine with wall above in the Roof dbx or the gnereal dbx after selecting the gable wall. Sooooooo, I am missing something here........10.08Dennis Gavin CR, CKBR

Dennis,
I think we may have crossed posts. See my post above.
