how do you create a structural post pier system....every time i try to use the one in structural it says i have to have it under a foundation wall....i have a post system under the decking and a portion of the house.

One option:
Draw an exterior wall (or house).
Click on the framing icon and then select then post child.
Click on (under) the wall, and a post will appear.
Delete the wall, and the post will remain, sooooo,
play a game of drawing what Chief wants, adding what you want, and then deleting what you no longer need.

Was it going to be in the structure or on the outside supporting a deck?
