site plan with pool
Good morning, I am trying to create my first site plan. It is for an amenity center in a new home subdivision. It will include playground equipment, pool, pool house and equipment room, parking, ect and all that goes with the ammenity center.
Areas I could use some direction are
1. A format format for my site plan ...Items I must show. ...
2. Where can I get the playground equipment, bicycle rack, trash cans water fountains, outdoor grill ...stuff like for my render and 2d view
3. How to draw a pool.
these are just some of my first thoughts which I am trying to organize
All input on this subject is welcome... I am hoping to hear some general talk about site plans and really anything on the subject if it is of interest to anyone.

How you draw the pool depend on what you want to see. If you need to see the bottom of the pool and it's shape under the water surface there is one method to do it.
If you just want to show the pool outline with water there is another way to do it.
Most of the objects on your list are in the library and can be added without great difficulty .

Also, there are many things that need to show on a plot plan such as set-backs, underground services, and of course building locations. You may need to ask whoever wants the plans what they want to see. Or do a search for plan sets here on this forum and see what is included in a plot plan....
From the AIBD plan set info, I got this:
2. SITE PLAN
A Site Plan provided by others may be substituted if your local business practices to not generally include production of site plans. However, building plans submitted must clearly indicate the site conditions in all cases. The site plan must have the following:
• Property lines and dimensions, street location and name, north arrow;
• Set backs and easements;
• Footprint of house and accessory buildings
• Location of walks, driveways, steps, decks, terraces, retaining walls, and any other hardscape items
• If lot has significant slope and/or house incorporates level changes along grade lines, existing and finish elevations and finish floor elevations should be delineated with contour lines or spot elevations.
• Utility connections, sewer lines, or septic system
• Significant existing land forms, trees, rock out-croppings, etc.
Hope this helps....Jim Rogers

Here is a good thread to develop a pool, and it will show in your site plan nicely.
As far as the playground equipment, grills and what not - Art has some nice stuff included in the library. (at least I think it came with Chief since my library is locked) it's under exterior fixtures
Jim's quote from AIBD is more than adequate.
