I just noticed something...I'm running Win98 that has DirectX, I just noticed my program is Chief 6.0 32bit with directX!! All the upgrades I've added have been for CA without directX...am I in trouble with this set up or what????
The manual sez if you have DirectX installed, do not install the DirectX...conflict or not??

You have patched the non-direct-x version and are still using the original version with direct-x from your disk. Go ahead and patch the direct-x version to the current level. You will appreciate it.
Use the direct x that windows98 provides. you will be safe there
