I noticed the version you are using is 10.04a.

Why not try the 10.08 update to see if that helps to prevent the screen re-draw from an interfering tool tip.

Some video drivers may also cause this if they are TOO NEW. I have seen where a previous video driver will work better than the latest one.

I am lost.Still not sure what you are asking.
When you change views your tool bar configuration changes.You should be able to turn off tool tips if you don't want them..

Could this be a preference setting rather than a tool bar?

Hi all,

Just an update, I've fixed my tool bar problems. I had to go back and alter my template.

I know some of you probably think , but I guess I expected a change such as this to be more dynamic than that. I still don't know why the tool tips causes the redraw , but @ least now they won't pop up, while I'm working.
