Floor Reference?
I hate to ask, 'cause there's probably a easy answer. Has anyone experienced the floor reference gone screwy with only one of the floors. In this case I cannot get the 2nd floor to show with the first floor open. If I switch references (open 2nd floor with 1st floor reference) it's ok. I can "Change Floor/Reference" to any other floor or the foundation or attic and it works fine, just not from the first floor to the second floor. Here's the kicker - The stair well opening of the second floor does show up. Enough of the walls are not lined up with the first floor so that there is no mistaking that the 2nd floor is not showing up. I've been beating myself up for hours now. I've checked the display options and the "R" is marked in the Ref column. Help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes I did, the current floor highlighted is 1st floor, and the Reference Floor is 2nd floor. All other references work OK, just not this one (except the stupid stair well).

OK, Dig this - Some time back, I changed my walls to a different layer (addition only) so that I could generate framing only on those walls to show the addition as separate from the existing house for the client. Apparently, if the walls are anything but "Walls, normal", they will not show up on reference. I changed them back to "Walls, normal" and they show up fine, mystery solved. Thank you very much for the help.

The should show up on reference as long as you mark the layer they are on as "R" for reference.

Yeah but I get bits and snatches of time between getting ready for the wedding (got a haircut today) and finishing up the last bit of work (Southwest style colored+shadowed elevations) before I get married.
Even better (or worse), I noticed my fridge wasn't as cold as it used to be the last few days, so we ended up spending $550 of our money for a new one today. Maybe I could have got a better one, but it wouldn't have fit in the space. Right now I'm sort of waiting for the delivery.
