Just so I'm clear on your terminology. A half wall is a full wall that is pulled down in elevation. A rail wall is a railing made solid?

That's what I was getting at...yep

A railing - is a railing...with ballutsters, newels and all that....although you can make them solid in CA...It doesn't funtion as a wall in CA. A full wall pulled down in section still acts as a wall...but looks like a CA solid railing.
