Lost files
Has anyone lost or deleted files, then recovered them ?
I copied all of last years completed projects onto a DVD, the deleted the files on my hard drive. Unfortunately, I didn't make a copy of the DVD and managed to delete the contents, losing a years files
Does anyone know of recovery software that can search for lost PL. and LA. files ?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

It can be done, quite expensive I might add.....if all you did was delete files off your HD, they are still there and with the right software they can be recovered. I stongly suggest you have it done professionally. But you could try this one.http://www.winundelete.com/?rid=google&kid=wu0401

I wonder if a system restore could help dating back to whenever? I don't think it will bring back those files though.

Before you do anything else, have a look in the Recycle Bin.

don't add or change anything else till you decide what to do.
If you just did this then the files are recoverable, as when a file is deleted it is only marked for deletion by changing one "flag" within the file the rest of the file is still there until another file needs the space.
software like Norton and other file recovery utilities might help.
Yes, check the recycle bin first, that would be easiest.
There are recovery services, but they can be expensive.
The files may still be on the DVD but only "marked" for deletion the same as on the HD.
Good luck and ouch !!!!
