I have my ID Defaults set to measure from the center of each wall, but I have to go to the default settings and re-click it evrytime to get them to do that.
Why is that?

set your defaults for this (and any other default settings you may want) in a new plan then save it as your profile plan...this is the plan that opens when you open a new session Chief...you will find or you can change the file you use for this by going to preferences>General>new plans and selecting a template or simply look at where it points for the template
