Setting Door Text Size
In searching I found this:
There isn't a preset way to set the location of the text label. But you can select it and move it to the desired location.
The window and door text size is set at:
Build>Door (or Window)>Door (or Window) Schedule
Choose the label tab, and character height reflects size
Using toolbars, select door icon (or window) and the child toolbar will have an icon to the far right that will bring you to the dbx.

Is there a way to set the "Size" of window text "Without" generating a schedule?

David--
To clarify that post, you can set the initial offset in the same tab (contrary to the information I provided above).
Also, even though those numbers are found under schedule setting, they will affect the size of the labels even though you may not have a schedule. So...what ever you change the character height to, that is the size the individual window or door labels will plot at (when their is no schedule).

You can set both the initial offset position and character height used for window and door labels in the schedule defaults. Just go to Edit>Default Settings>Schedule Defaults>Window and look on the Label tab.
Note that these are initial values and won't effect labels that have already been created so you should do this before you place any windows or doors.Dermot Dempsey
