Siding - texture apply to custom color

Hello to a very generous bulletin board and Sunday morning workers.

Is there a method I can use to apply a custom color to a siding texture? I've tried to do so by editing the selected material but when I render the siding it displays the color of the texture I've selected - not my custom color.

you need to alter the color of the texture image in an outside graphics editor ..

Change the texture in a program that allows you to change its color hue and saturation.

Thank you both Tim O'Donnel and Jason McQueen for you responses to my issue of siding color. Now that I know this process has to be handled outside of Chief I'll pursue another graphics editor to accomplish the task. Many years ago I used Adobe Photoshop and I believe it will work here.
