Zero Kb in .prn and .plt files

I made some minor changes to a couple of layouts recently and then sent them to print and saved to file as both .prn and .plt (at the request of my plotter tech). When I clicked on the files on my desktop before loading them on my jump drive, all four files showed zero KB instead on the normal 300+ Kb. I am using CA 9.54 and XP. Printer is set up as a HP 570 in XP and I have prineted these layout files before using this technique.

Any ideas where I went wrong? Did it twice, the second time after a restart. Haven't tried to print as it costs me $3/page even when blank.

    John,

Zero Kb files will not print on that you can be sure. Reboot your PC, recheck your print driver settings and try again.

    David:

Surprise. When I turned on the system the next day, these files on my desktop had content in k bytes. Must have been Microsoft XP at work again.

    Thanks for your interest.
