Help with failed dormer gable walls
I started this in X5 and now it is an X6 file. Maybe that is part of my problem, but I don't know.
Can build dormered houses like this in real life, but I struggle in Chief. Please advise, if you have the time to fiddle.
One end is sort of OK, the other is a mess. Pic below of the failed end. Full file at the DropBox link.

I have tried, David, with all kinds of manual fixes. Nothing I have tried is working.

"I feel your pain" as it were, on this Gene.
I ended up having to use 'P' solids in place of walls to get the look that I wanted on a recent project with dormers much like this.
It was not an elegant solution but it worked.

Been wondering now that this is fixed, since while OK visually, 3D is fine, 2D elevations acceptable, 2nd fl plan OK, but the 3D model kind of messy in hidden places above ceilings, . . .
. . . is the better way to Chief-build this, to auto-build these dormers, first, then do all the 2nd floor wall and room detail?
'Cause I've a feeling my manual-build is what messed me up.Gene Davis
