Cannot recess doors & Windows in X6

When I edit the door or window dialog to recess units to either the sheathing or main layers, nothing happens. When I reopen the dialog "recess" is no longer checked. Any thoughts?

dont see that problem here, upload the plan and someone may be able to spot the problem if they can reproduce it.

I answered my own question. So for whatever it may be worth to anyone else, here goes:

I had defined the main layer as the sheathing layer, for dimension purposes. I redefined using two main layers.....the stud wall and the sheathing (moving dimensioning to the sheathing layer, which was the original purpose for using sheathing as a main layer). All worked fine. Apparently the program deemed my main layer too thin, although I had not received any error message to that effect.

One of the things I really like about X6 is the ability to have more than one main layers. Solves so many issues. I just need to use it, right?
