Grouped objects & disappearing text...

Hi,
I have a problem with grouped objects becoming stuck and not showing the correct text. When imported into the detail set (shift V) then sent to layout they are missing information, mostly text, for example the correct text might be
"Aluminium with double glazing - refer to acoustics report"
but will only show
"Aluminium with double glazing"
and until unblocked the text will not appear. This is a serious problem as when I print these words still do not appear.
I think it may be something to do with the preferences between computers mucking things up...

Blocked objects are on their own layer, then when unblocked they could be on another layer. Make sure you check that those layers you need on, are on.

I 'have had that problem before and thats definitely not the problem as whole text boxes would go missing in this instance.

For my problem only some words are missing in the actual text box its self

"--"for example the correct text might be
"Aluminium with double glazing - refer to acoustics report"
but will only show
"Aluminium with double glazing"--"

The text box is there but words are cut off/missing

Ok then try checking auto width and height

I have checked these and they seem to make no difference. Plus if I check auto width they just explode into one long text box and I then have to drag them in. I think the margins are set at either 25 or 0. We have tried all sorts of things but this even appears on the occasional layout text box or in section view.

Do you have the same font installed on the second computer that was used to create the block? Text styles can also be controlled using layers so it is possible the font or font size was modified for the layer the text is on in the cad block.

and in reply to Doug Park yes, all computers have the same settings as far as we can see which makes it so odd...
